The Garden at The Lord Roberts
One of Craig’s favourite parts of The Lord Roberts is, without question, the garden.
What was once simply a staff car park has been transformed into one of Hockley’s most unique outdoor drinking spaces - full of atmosphere, character, and a little bit of theatre.
With moody lighting, mirror balls, and seating for up to 60 guests, the garden has become a hugely popular spot for everything from sunny afternoon drinks to late-night gatherings under the lights. Craig had a clear vision for the space from the very beginning and has worked hard to create an outdoor area that feels vibrant, welcoming, and unlike anywhere else in Nottingham city centre.
As day turns to night, the garden truly comes alive — buzzing with energy, music, conversation, and the unmistakable Lord Roberts vibe.
And this is only the beginning.
Exciting plans are already in place to take the garden to the next level — quite literally. Planning permission has now been granted for a brand-new mezzanine level, adding even more space and atmosphere to this already iconic outdoor area.
While timings didn’t quite align for this summer, work is set to begin after Christmas, with the new-look garden expected to be ready in time for Spring 2027.
Watch this space.
